    LOVE Your Space: Bedroom Edition

There's something special about the spaces we love the most. They're where we unwind after long days, scroll our phones a little too late, read our favourite books, and recharge for tomorrow. That's why we're so excited to introduce our new organizing series: LOVE Your Space.

In this series, we'll be decluttering and refreshing the rooms you actually love to spend time in, starting with one of the most important spaces in your home: your bedroom.

    Why start in the bedroom?

Your bedroom plays a bigger role in your daily life than you might think. It's the first place you start your day and the last place you end it.

When your bedroom feels cluttered it can:

    • Make mornings feel rushed
    • Make it harder to relax at night
    • Add unnecessary stress to your day

But when it's calm and organized? Everything feels a little lighter.

    Our LOVE Your Space Philosophy

This series isn't about creating perfect, magazine-worthy rooms. It's about creating spaces that work for you.

    We focus on:

    1. Letting go of what no longer serves you
    2. Keeping what you truly love and use
    3. Creating simple systems you can actually maintain
    4. Designing spaces that feel good to live in

Because loving your space should feel easy, not overwhelming.

Step 1: Start With What You See First

Begin with the visible surfaces in your bedroom:

    • Nightstands
    • Dressers
    • Floors
    • Window Sills

As you pick up each item, ask yourself:

    • Do I love this?
    • Do I use this regularly?
    • Does this belong in my bedroom?

If not, it's time to donate it, toss it or return it to its proper home

Step 2: Edit your Closet & Dresser

Clothing is often the biggest source of bedroom clutter.

    Try this simple approach:

    1. Take everyhting out. Yes, everything
    2. Sort into four piles: Keep, Donate, Toss, Relocate
    3. Only put back what you truly wear and love

A helpful guideline: if you haven't worn it in the past year, it may be time to let it go.

    Step 3: Create Simple Zones

Giving your bedroom clear zones makes staying organized much easier.

    Think about zones for:

    • Sleeping
    • Getting Dressed
    • Relaxing

    A few easy ideas:

    • A small tray on your nightstand for essentials
    • Drawer dividers for clothing and accessories
    • Baskets or bins for seasonal items

When everything has a place, clutter has a harder time taking over.

    Step 4: Refresh Your Nightstand

Your nightstand should support rest, not add to your stress.

    Try keeping it simple with:

    • A lamp
    • A Book or Journal
    • Your Phone or Alarm
    • One personal item you love

Less clutter here can make bedtime feel instantly more peaceful.

Step 5: Bring Back What You Love

Now for the fun part, adding back the things that make your bedroom feel cozy and personal:

    • Soft Bedding
    • A favourite throw
    • Meaningful photos
    • A plant or two

This is where your personality really shines.

Fall in LOVE with your Bedroom Again

Winter brings so much to enjoy—crisp mornings, cozy evenings, festive gatherings—but it also comes with its fair share of challenges. Between managing heavy coats, setting up holiday decorations, and dealing with the influx of gifts, winter can make even the tidiest homes feel a little chaotic.
This is exactly why Winter Decluttering Made Easy was created. It’s not just another decluttering course—it’s a practical, seasonal guide tailored to the unique needs of this time of year.

    What Makes This Course Different?

Most organizing advice doesn’t account for the extra challenges winter brings. This course focuses on the spaces and items you use most during the colder months, helping you stay organized without adding stress.

Here’s what the course dives into:

    • Seasonal Hotspots: Learn how to manage clutter in entryways, mudrooms, and coat closets—the areas that bear the brunt of winter.
    • Smart Storage for Bulky Items: Get tips on efficiently storing boots, outerwear, and blankets so they’re accessible but not overwhelming.
    • Decluttering Before the Holidays: Clear out unnecessary items to make space for gifts, decorations, and all the joy of the season.
    • Holiday Hosting Hacks: Organize key spaces like guest rooms, kitchens, and living areas to feel prepared, not frazzled, when guests arrive.
    • Mindset Shifts: The course doesn’t just teach you to tidy; it encourages you to reflect on what truly matters in your space and life.
The best part? The course is broken into bite-sized lessons, so you can work at your own pace, even during the busiest time of year.

    What Participants Are Saying

"The course was well laid out where you could take time to absorb the information and come back to it. This was great when trying to balance work and home life. It offered a realistic perspective, and I appreciated that it doesn’t strive for perfection or magazine-worthy, just functional. What a great way to start the winter season, and I’m excited to apply what I learned."-Diane R.

"Super well explained. As someone who values minimalism but struggles with allowing too much 'stuff' into my space, this entire course made complete sense to me. I loved how you set the tone by encouraging us to get comfortable, grab a drink, play some music, and create a welcoming atmosphere to begin organizing. Now, I’m genuinely excited to start organizing my space!"- Jess B.

Decluttering isn’t just about creating space—it’s about creating peace and reclaiming control over your environment. Winter, with its natural rhythm of slowing down and turning inward, offers a unique opportunity to focus on your home and create a space that supports your needs and values. Here’s why this season is ideal for decluttering:

    1. More Time Indoors: Winter’s colder weather keeps us inside more often, giving us a chance to take a closer look at our living spaces. Instead of feeling stuck indoors surrounded by clutter, imagine using this time to create a sanctuary that feels calm, cozy, and functional. When your space is in order, it enhances the sense of comfort that winter is meant to bring.
    2. Seasonal Shifts in Storage Needs: Winter comes with its own set of challenges—bulky coats, boots, blankets, and holiday décor all demand space in our homes. Decluttering during this time helps you make room for these essentials without your home feeling overrun. The process also lets you rethink how you’re using your storage areas and optimize them for the season.
    3. A Fresh Start for the New Year: Decluttering in winter, particularly before the holidays and New Year, sets the tone for a fresh start. As the year winds down, it’s the perfect time to reflect on what you want to carry forward into the next year and what no longer serves you. This course encourages you to be intentional about the items you keep, helping you enter the new year with clarity and purpose.
    4. Prepping for the Holidays: Winter is full of festivities, from decorating to hosting guests. A decluttered home not only makes holiday prep more manageable but also creates a welcoming atmosphere for friends and family. Whether you’re clearing out space for decorations, setting up a guest room, or ensuring your kitchen is ready for holiday meals, decluttering now means less stress when the celebrations begin.
    5. Room for Reflection: Winter’s slower pace naturally invites moments of introspection. Decluttering during this season isn’t just about clearing physical space; it’s about letting go of emotional and mental clutter, too. This course will guide you through a mindful approach to decluttering, encouraging you to focus on what truly matters in your home and life.
    6. Creating Space for Winter Joys: Picture a cozy evening by the fire, curling up with a blanket and a good book, or sharing hot cocoa with loved ones. These moments are even sweeter when your space feels calm and organized. By tackling clutter now, you can fully embrace the joys of the season without distractions or stress.
Decluttering during winter isn’t just about managing your stuff; it’s about creating a home that works for you and enhances the way you live. Winter Decluttering Made Easy takes you through this process step by step, offering practical guidance and mindset shifts that will transform not just your home, but your overall sense of peace and contentment.

This expanded section emphasizes how winter decluttering is more than a task—it’s a transformative process that aligns with the season’s natural rhythm. Let me know if you'd like further adjustments or additions!
